Active Rehab
Stevenson Fitness has implemented an active rehab program for the treatment and rehabilitation of injuries of the physically active individual. An Truong will be managing the program. As a Certified Athletic Trainer, An is qualified to assess, implement, and monitor injuries and rehabilitation. When necessary, An will refer you to a physician for further treatment/guidance. Timely treatment is key to minimizing downtime and maintaining physical condition. However, too often we hesitate to go to a doctor for treatment due to the inconvenience and hassle. Additionally, many physicians do not readily prescribe physical therapy for lesser injuries. When they do, the treatment is often limited due to insurance restrictions.Unlike a physical therapist, An is able to begin your treatment without a written prescription from a physician. Although not covered by most insurance agencies, our services are often times more cost effective than your co-pays and balances for services rendered by a physical therapist. Avoid the hassles, downtime, and keep yourself in good physical shape. Let An work his magic and return you to your pre-injury state and keep you going! With An’s help, you can avoid unnecessary medical treatment and accelerate your body’s healing mechanisms. His methods produce excellent results. | What is Active Rehabilitation? Active rehabilitation consists of therapeutic exercise and kinetic therapy to re-educate musculature, increase mobility, and strengthen an injured area. Not only are symptoms treated, but the actual cause of the injury is addressed. It is the correction of any biomechanical and strength deficits and deficiencies. By the time you have completed the rehabilitative process, you should be as strong, if not stronger, than before your injury. Only then will you be able to return to full functional activity with virtually no danger of re-injury.
The active rehabilitative process is done co-currently with any already established routines so there is no interruption to fitness level. Active rehabilitation is designed to get you back to your regular activities as quickly and as safely as possible. |
