The Scoop on Tuna Fish for Your Kids

Tuna has gotten a bad rap lately, but there’s no reason your family can’t enjoy their favorite sandwiches fairly often. The trick is to serve chunk-light tuna, which has about one-third less mercury than the albacore variety. If your kids are used to albacore, switch them over to the softer, wetter consistency of chunk light by mixing the two types and gradually phasing out the albacore altogether. Up to six ounces a week of chunk-light tuna is fine for kids.
